"Toronto artist Lyla Rye is defending her work against allegations of child pornography after Halifax police confiscated a video installation on display at a Halifax gallery ... The video, entitled Byte, shows Rye singing into her baby daughter's mouth. At the end of the tape, the baby bites Rye's lip. On top of the screen, Rye has superimposed black squares that look like the work of censors. She also slowed the tape down and put it on a loop so that a 12-second sequence lasts eight minutes."
