A couple of good stories this week on the Jyllands-Posten controversy that shed some light on how this "clash of civilizations" is being fed by people who will benefit from it:
- A great article from Jytte Klausen at Salon on the Danish politics and media that lead to the publication of the cartoons.
- A fascinating article about Danish Muslim Ahmed Akkari. After failing to get much of a domestic reaction to the Jyllands-Posten cartoons, he printed them in a booklet, along with other even more blasphemous and insulting images, and handed them out to Muslim leaders in the Middle East. He did not get the reaction he expected.
