1991Block radio initiative (1991)Submitted by tranquileye on Wed, 2005-11-09 20:27.
The Commission’s ongoing consultations with community and student broadcasters seem to present an excellent opportunity for the discussion of the furture of non-commercial broadcasting in Canada. One of the areas of interest to most community broadcasters is access to community broadcasting. I would like to take this opportunity to suggest to the Commission that the time has come to examine, in some depth, the concept of low-wattage neighbourhood or block radio. I think the creation of block radio is an important step in the development of the community radio sector in Canada. ( categories: )
